Planning - Contact Sheets

This is my Contact Sheets, these are the images which i took and the one i choose out of the images i took in my photography. I took a range of pictures of each model in different poses so that i could decide which one looked best when i uploaded it to the magazine. This will tell you why i choose the images i did and why i didn't choose the others.

Front page:

My first contact sheet is of my front page image i choose the one i did because it was a close up, which was in line with the male gaze. The rest of the images had bad lighting effect or the they were poorly taken which would not have looked well on my magazine because it would've looked unprofessional. Also i found from this image the model was looking straight into the camera and all her features were able to be seen. 

Content page:

This is an image on my content page, as you can see the best quality image was the one i choose because the model looks more prepared for the image and she looks very appealing. the first to images are very dark and you cannot see what is very good about the image however on the last image see is in the male gaze theory as she has her hand on her head and looking straight in the camera. From this image i wanted the model to have a sense of power and this would attract the readers as she looks in control of the gaze. 

With this image i choose i wanted the boy to have control and not look vulnerable, i wanted more of a close up image of this picture so that the audience could see more of the models body as this is the main attraction. With the image i choose i also wanted it to have a sexual look so this image was the best to choose for this appearance. 

With this image i had to make these models look like they are into the music career and have a bit of a laddish look. I choose this image because the rest of the images the did not look very professional as the smiled or one of the models was not ready for the photo. With the image i choose the model in the white t-shirt represent a usual male pose with his find in the belt of the trousers and the model in the black t-shirt looks like hes 'tough'. This image was also taken from below because i wanted my audience to feel they were important. 

Double Page Spread:

With this final image i had to make sure the model looked 'sexy' so that i could fit her into hyperreality and maslows hierarchy of needs, This was because i wanted her to be the dreams and aspirations of my audience and i wanted to change her to look super real. So i choose the image i did because this image had the best lighten, the rest of the images had poor camera quality as the 'fan' we used to blow her hair would make the image blurry. I wanted the model to look submissive and show she was aspiring. I also choose this image over the others as she was not doing too much in the picture which would make the picture look 'tatty'.
